Our Executive Team
George Flowers is President of Preferred Shipping and has been at the helm from its beginning in September 1992. He is a graduate of Purdue University with an bachelor’s degree in Accounting. George received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
George was also a Professor of Finance at Houston Baptist University. George has more than 20 years experience in transportation and logistics planning.
George has committed to keeping Preferred Shipping a customer centric business. Building a mutually beneficial relationship with our customers is an important driver in all of the business decisions he makes.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Operations & CTO
Adam is an experienced executive who has been with the Preferred Shipping Team for 16 years. He is responsible for developing and implementing sales, marketing, training and technology strategies, to benefit Preferred Shipping’s customers and achieve company growth goals.
Prior to joining the Preferred Shipping Team, Adam was with DHL Express for 16 years in various Operations and Call Center Management positions. Adam received a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Communications and Business Administration from Columbia College. He is a member of many transportation & logistics organizations including the Houston Brokers and Forwarders Association.
Adam’s contributions to the Preferred Shipping organization and its customers has been invaluable. His daily efforts provide reassurance to our customers, that the successful delivery of all their shipments are important to us.
Michael J. Ryan
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Mr. Ryan has an extensive background in the small parcel business and global supply chain. He has held executive positions with DHL Express, GENCO(FedEx Company) and Velocity Express. He is currently the Executive Vice President for Preferred Parcel Solutions (Houston, TX). He has worked with many global organizations in developing integrated small parcel shipping programs and complex solutions. He also has worked with many SMB’s in developing a Parcel Optimization Solution for organizations that do not have the resources or buying power that larger organizations use in their negotiation processes. He has a passion for developing a solution for clients that meet’s their customer delivery expectations at a competitive cost.
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts – Business Economics degree from Benedictine University (Lisle, Illinois). He also is a writer for the Parcel magazine and is a regular presenter at Parcel conferences.
J. Nathan Chadwick
Nathan graduated with a B.S. in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University in 2000. He has since worked in the transportation industry, specializing in international customer support. As Customer Support Director, Nathan seeks dedicated people who are empowered to serve customers at a high level by using unique advantages that only Preferred Shipping can offer.
Joining Preferred Shipping in 2010 as an independent sales representative and rising to director of national sales, Michael Carey is tasked with ensuring the success of our shipping experts across the country. With more than 20 years of logistics and management experience, he works with our team daily to create unique shipping solutions for our customers, and assisting our independent sales representatives in providing world-class customer service to our customers. Michael attended University of Miami, where he got a BBA in International Finance and Marketing.
Christian Rodriguez, our Director of Sales Support, is a dynamic, results-driven sales strategist who has built a robust career building business and forging relationships with key prospects and existing clients.
He has been in the logistics and supply chain industry for nearly 15 years and has developed a reputation for his vast industry knowledge, creative sales solutions, and an exceptional ability to provide the best customer service in the business.
Chris attended Florida State University and manages our Palm Coast, Fla. sales office while providing cost-saving logistic solutions to our ecommerce, SMB and enterprise customers.
